(A) Age-specific fertility rates (AFRs) are the number of live births in the last 3 years, divided by the average number of women in that age group during the same period, expressed per 1,000 women. Age-specific fertility rates for women aged 15-19 are also referred to as teenage birth rates.
(B) SPT: Total Fertility Rate is the sum of age-specific fertility rates for women aged 15-49 years. SPT means the average number of children a woman would have borne by the end of her reproductive years (at age 50) if current fertility rates prevailed. The scale is expressed for women aged 15-49.
(C) TFR: The total fertility rate is the number of births in the last 3 years, divided by the average number of women aged 15-49 during the same period, expressed per 1,000 women aged 15-49.
(D) SBL: Gross birth rate is the number of births in the last 3 years, divided by the total number of the population during the same period, expressed per 1,000 persons.
